ALBURTIS, PA – Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA) welcomed Vice President J.D. Vance to the Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, praising the Trump administration’s focus on affordability and urged quick action on infrastructure permitting reform.
The Vice President’s visit comes as AFP is urging leaders in Congress to pass the Standardizing Permitting and Expediting Economic Development (SPEED) Act to unleash American energy abundance and drive down the rising energy rates that contribute to Americans’ cost of living concerns.
Emily Greene Brey, AFP-PA state director, gave the following statement:
“AFP-PA gives Vice President Vance a warm welcome to the Keystone State. We’re glad to see the Trump administration continue its focus on affordability, building on the Working Families Tax Cut that will soon save Pennsylvania families thousands of dollars in federal taxes.
“We fight for policies that help hardworking Pennsylvanians keep their hard-earned dollars. That’s why we strongly supported the Trump tax cuts, and that’s why we’re fighting to drive down the cost of energy.
“As one of America’s largest energy producers, Pennsylvania will be a keystone in America’s energy future. The SPEED Act will help Pennsylvania unlock its abundant natural resources and help lower energy costs across the country, making essentials like food, electricity, and travel more affordable for hardworking families.”
