HARRISBURG, PA – Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA) encouraged members of the state Senate to advance legislation to address Pennsylvania’s housing shortage by allowing accessory dwelling units (ADUs) on Tuesday after it passed a House floor vote.
Emily Brey, AFP-PA state director, gave the following statement:
“The state Senate has a critical opportunity to address Pennsylvania’s growing housing crisis and restore taxpayers’ property rights in one fell swoop.
“We’re grateful to Sen. Greg Rothman for introducing SB 1346 and call on Republicans and Democrats to support this commonsense free market reform that will make it more affordable for Pennsylvanians to live and thrive in the Keystone State. Now is not the time to be on record opposing reforms aimed at lowering the cost of living.”
