Columbus, OH – Americans for Prosperity-Ohio (AFP-OH) today praised the state legislature, Senate President Larry Obhof, and Governor Mike Dewine on the signing of a budget that included a provision requiring state agencies to eliminate two regulations for every one they adopt.
AFP-OH State Director Micah Derry issued the following statement:
“Limiting the burden of government regulations will grow Ohio’s economy and encourage entrepreneurism. The legislature took an important step toward streamlining our regulatory system in order to deliver better results at a much lower cost to our state’s families, workers and businesses. This is a great start, and we encourage the House of Representatives to build on the momentum of this victory by passing SB 1, which would require agencies to systematically reduce the regulatory burdens that currently weigh our state down. Ohio has the opportunity to be a national leader on the issue of regulatory reform, and we are excited to continue to be a part of this important fight to improve opportunity for every Ohioan.”
