AFP-Mississippi Applauds Progress on Expanding Access to Affordable Health Care

JACKSON, MS – Americans for Prosperity–Mississippi (AFP-MS) applauds Governor Reeves for establishing the Mississippi Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Office and website. These measures move the state forward in modernizing health‑care delivery and improving outcomes long-term.

AFP-MS State Director Starla Brown said:

“AFP-MS thanks Governor Reeves and his administration for their work to thoughtfully plan and begin the implementation of the Rural Health Transformation program. This investment will improve access to care and strengthen the health care infrastructure in rural communities across the Magnolia State. Although additional efforts are needed to expand access to care, this is a great step forward to improve care statewide.

“Ensuring these funds are responsibly distributed and monitored for real outcomes will be critical to the program’s long-term success. We encourage state legislators to continue to advance policies that remove barriers to care and promote a system that benefits all Mississippians.”
