Arlington, VA — This week, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) launched a billboard campaign in California’s 22nd Congressional District to thank Representative David Valadao (CA-22) for consistently putting taxpayers first, including by voting to extend the Working Families Tax Cuts. This legislation delivered real and meaningful federal relief to Californians, who, due to misguided state policies, struggle with some of the highest costs in the nation.
By voting to extend expiring tax cuts, the average family in Rep. Valadao’s district is projected to keep $3,618 more of their hard-earned money per year.
AFP Western Region Director Heather Andrews said:
“Californians already face one of the toughest cost-of-living climates in the country, thanks to misguided state policies that have hamstrung families for years. But because Rep. Valadao voted for the Working Families Tax Cuts, they’ll keep more of their hard-earned money as the benefits of the 2017 tax cuts continue. AFP thanks Rep. Valadao for his commitment to increasing opportunities for economic prosperity in California.”
