AFP-KY Slams KY Senate For Failing to Deliver on Crucial Housing Reform

FRANKFORT, KY- Americans for Prosperity Kentucky (AFP-KY) slammed the Kentucky Senate for failing to act on SB9, a housing reform package designed to make Kentucky a more affordable place to live.  This comes after the House passed the measure in a 71-21 vote count.

AFP-KY Director Heather LeMire released the following statement:

“Kentuckians deserve the American Dream, and it begins with the ability to own a home they can afford. We cannot be the best place to live, work, and raise a family if our own people are struggling just to stay here. Last night, the Kentucky Senate failed to recognize this reality. By not prioritizing housing reform for Kentucky’s families, they fell short of delivering on the promise of the American Dream for their constituents. If we want a thriving Commonwealth for generations to come, we must get serious about solving Kentucky’s housing crisis.”
