ATLANTA, GA – AFP-GA released its 2026 legislative agenda today, the same day the Georgia General Assembly kicks off its 2026 legislative session. Over the course of the session, Georgia lawmakers are expected to debate topics like eliminating the state income tax, offering voluntary portable benefits to self-employed workers and reforming current regulatory policy.

AFP-GA state director Tony West issued the following statement:

“Americans for Prosperity Georgia is excited for a new legislative session and fresh opportunities to make life more affordable for Georgians. This session, we are focused on reforming current regulatory, housing, and tax policies, repealing Chevron deference and offering voluntary portable benefits to self-employed workers. We look forward to working alongside state legislators to continue to remove barriers that limit freedom and opportunity for all Georgians.”
