ATLANTA, GA – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Georgia thanks Rep. Matt Reeves for introducing HB1247. The 2024 U.S. Supreme Court decision Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo ended the Chevron doctrine at the federal level, and HB1247 would end judicial deference at the state level. The bill would require Georgia’s court system to interpret statutes and regulations without bias in favor of any agencies.
