Phoenix, AZ — Americans for Prosperity–Arizona is calling on Senators Ruben Gallego and Mark Kelly to put politics aside and support a clean continuing resolution to reopen the federal government. With the shutdown dragging on, Arizonans are feeling the consequences—from stalled infrastructure projects to delayed public services—and they deserve better.
AFP-AZ State Director Stephen Shadegg released the following statement:
“Arizonans expect their elected officials to stand up for taxpayers, not play political brinkmanship.
“Senators Gallego and Kelly campaigned on being independent voices for all Arizonans. Now is the time to prove it. They have a chance to rise above partisan games and do what’s right for Arizona and the country and that starts with supporting a clean funding bill and ending this unnecessary shutdown.”
Americans for Prosperity–Arizona urges both lawmakers to reject partisan obstruction and deliver the responsible governance Arizonans deserve.
