AFP Asks Senator Carper to Protect Delaware, Reject Tariffs

Mar 6, 2019 by AFP

ARLINGTON, VA—Americans for Prosperity today announced the launch of a new, digital advertisement campaign urging Senator Carper to support S. 287, the Bicameral Congressional Trade Authority Act. By supporting this bipartisan effort, Senator Carper will protect Delaware businesses and consumers from taxes in the form of certain new tariffs.

AFP President Tim Phillips issued the following statement:

“Tariffs add an unfair burden and unwarranted tax to Delaware’s residents and economy. Senator Carper has an opportunity to protect Delaware from the harms of some tariffs by supporting the Bicameral Congressional Trade Authority Act. We urge Sen. Carper to seize this opportunity to protect Delaware and support removing unnecessary trade barriers through this bipartisan legislation.”
