BOISE, ID — Today, Idaho Governor Brad Little signed an executive order into law continuing President Trump’s mission of improving government efficiency and reducing spending. The order also calls for Idaho government agencies to reduce this fiscal year’s spending by 3%.

As highlighted in the executive order, Congress recently passed the One Big Beautiful Bill, ushering in pro-growth policy at the federal level. Governor Little wants to continue this mission to right-sizing state government.

AFP Regional Director Heather Andrews issued the following statement on the order:

“Americans for Prosperity commends Governor Little for directing his administration to cut government waste, fraud, and abuse and reduce spending in Idaho. The government has long needed increased accountability in the stewardship of taxpayer money and America needs more fiscally responsible, Conservative leaders.

“AFP appreciates the Governor’s leadership for upholding the principles of limited regulation and lean government. We encourage lawmakers across the state to join the mission of creating a more efficient government by codifying these efforts toward less overreach and overregulation.”
