AFP-AL Applauds Alabama House for Passing SB197

Americans for Prosperity Press Release

MONTGOMERY, AL – Americans for Prosperity-Alabama (AFP-AL) applauds the Alabama House of Representatives for joining the Alabama Senate in passing SB197, which will make it easier for food trucks to operate in the state. The bill will remove unnecessary red tape that currently requires food truck operators to get additional local permits for operating in new counties, even if temporarily.

AFP-AL State Director Adam Thompson released the following statement:

“AFP-AL would like to thank Sen. Dan Roberts and Rep. Ben Robbins for their leadership in getting this bill passed in the statehouse. We’d also like to thank the food truck owners, including John Leddy, who told us how much this bill would benefit them. Small businesses are the backbone of the Alabama economy, and we should be doing all we can to make it easier, not harder, for them to succeed. We urge Governor Ivey to quickly sign this bill into law.”
