ICYMI: AFP-OH Calls for Ohio Leadership in Nuclear Generation in Town Hall w/State Legislators, Industry Leaders

Americans for Prosperity Press Release

PERRY, OH – In case you missed it, Americans for Prosperity-Ohio (AFP-OH) held a policy roundtable on Monday with members of the state legislature, business leaders and energy policy experts to discuss the importance of creating energy abundance and affordability for hardworking Ohioans.

Ohio state Representatives Adam Holmes, Roy Klopfenstein, Adam Mathews and State Senators Brian Chavez and Jerry Cirino spoke alongside numerous industry leaders in energy production with AFP-OH on how the state can attract more nuclear power generation, data centers and manufacturing industry while protecting taxpayers.

AFP-OH State Director Donovan O’Neil gave the following statement:

“Ohio is positioned to become a leader in nuclear energy production in years to come, but it all depends on the policy decisions of our elected representatives. We’re grateful to these policy champions for joining us today to discuss this enormous opportunity for our state. Nuclear energy remains the cheapest, most environmentally friendly and future-winning form of power generation we have.

“It’s crucial that we make our state a friendly business environment for nuclear power generation instead of manipulating the market through top-down regulations. If Ohio takes the lead, our state can once again be the industrial backbone of the nation and usher in a new era of technological innovation.”
