It’s a straightforward equation. When energy demand rises, the only way to get prices down is to increase supply — in other words, to get more energy in the market.

America has an immense energy potential. If we tap it and push for energy abundance, you’ll feel the difference with lower prices and a more prosperous economy.

We need to roll up our sleeves and get to work.

WHAT IS ENERGY ABUNDANCE?

Energy abundance means using all energy sources, including oil and gas, wind, solar, nuclear, and emerging technologies, to meet our energy needs.

Lower prices for families and businesses. Diverse and abundant energy sources can help keep prices stable and affordable. That could help to lower your utility bills, lower energy costs for businesses, and fuel a stronger economy.
Stronger national security and a more stable world. Diverse and abundant energy reduces our dependence on unstable or hostile foreign regimes. And, by allowing us to export energy to allies, it helps promote global stability.
Resilience against global disruptions. A diverse mix of abundant energy sources means no single global disruption can derail our economy or send consumer costs skyrocketing. Our economy won’t be totally isolated from a shock, but it would be much more protected.

WHY ENERGY ABUNDANCE LEADS TO PROSPERITY

The free market, not government bureaucrats, should determine how the American energy industry grows. That way, businesses will be free to innovate and compete, and they’ll have the right incentives to provide reliable energy to all Americans at the lowest cost possible.

It also means consumers should be free to choose what works best for their homes, vehicles, and budgets. Some may decide that rooftop solar or an electric vehicle is their best option. Others may prefer natural gas or a car fueled by traditional fossil fuels.

That’s how markets work best — they adapt to individual needs, not one-size-fits-all mandates. Instead of forcing costly green technologies through subsidies and regulations, we should let the market determine what’s viable. The result will be lower prices, smarter innovation, and energy solutions that truly deliver.

There are still countless barriers and government red tape that keep too many energy projects in limbo.

And previous administrations have made a deliberate political decision to hurt traditional energy companies in a brazen display of corporate cronyism.

The best way to ensure America’s energy abundance is to get the government out of the business of picking winners and losers in the energy industry and let the American people and the markets decide.
