YAL Upcoming Event: March 5 at Washburn University

Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) is hosting an event this Thursday evening at Washburn University.

The student group is hosting author, commentator, and political analyst Dr. Thomas Woods Jr. to speak about the causes of the 2008 financial crisis and propose solutions to prevent another collapse at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5 in the Henderson Learning Center, Room 100 on the Washburn campus.

Dr. Thomas Woods has written at length about economics, American History, and contemporary politics. He is New York Times best-selling author with books such as The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History and Meltdown. His work has also appeared in several scholarly periodicals such as Investor’s Business Daily, American Historical Review, The American Conservative, and Modern Age.

The Washburn chapter of Young Americans for Liberty is a motivated group of students who are working hard to bring events such as this to the Topeka area. They seek to use education to spread the ideals of free market capitalism and individual liberty.
