It’s not a level playing field.

Some have called it the injustice of our time — we call it just plain wrong.

As government has mushroomed in size and power so too has its ability to favor some people over others.

Do you get subsidies? Do you get special tax breaks that most Americans can’t access? Are there regulations written that hold back competition? If you make bad decisions and go broke, will government bail you out?

Through unfair tax loopholes, subsidies, loan guarantees, bailouts, regulations, licensing and more, government has tilted the playing field for some.

As a result, the gaps between the well-connected and the typical American have continued to grow. We are rapidly becoming a two-tiered society – the well-connected and everyone else.

Americans for Prosperity is leading the fight to end the cronyism that is rigging our economy. And we are winning a growing number of critical battles as Americans increasingly understand how government cronyism is working against their ability to achieve their dreams. That’s right, it IS possible!

We are laser-focused on issues like ending subsidies, removing tax loopholes, repealing Certificate of Need, reforming occupation licensing, enacting red-tape reduction laws, labor reforms, and much more.

Without these reforms, the freedom and opportunity we all enjoy may be at risk of slipping away — not only for us, but for generations to come.

Let’s face it — lawmakers haven’t been incentivized to change. Big businesses make sure lawmakers hear from their paid lobbyists; choosing winners and losers benefits large corporations but harms the very people they represent.

And, given their track record, the last thing career politicians are qualified to do is to pick winners and losers! Yet every year they do exactly that by voting to give certain companies tax breaks and other corporate giveaways totaling in the BILLIONS, giving them an unfair and undeserved advantage.
