South Carolina is failing to lead where it counts – falling behind many red states when it comes to economic freedom, education freedom, and personal and individual freedom indexes. We can do better.

✅ Eliminate the State Income Tax

  • Flatten the tax code, end carveouts that pick winners and losers, and phase out the personal income tax without replacing it with a new tax

✅ Continue Advancing Education Freedom

  • AFP-SC proudly led the charge on school choice in 2025, leading to the largest expansion of education freedom in state history
  • Allow every South Carolina student to receive the education that best fits their needs and goals, regardless of zip code or background

✅ Reform Government and Rein in the Regulatory State

  • Rein in Government Bureaucracy by passing the REINS Act and reforming South Carolina’s regulatory state
  • Reduce waste and increase efficiency in government
  • Protect individual liberty and pass reforms that ensure a constitutionally limited government
