Not Another Tax Hike

In the November election, Illinois voters resoundingly rejected politicians’ graduated income tax proposal. But that hasn’t stopped politicians from proposing income tax hikes on all the people of Illinois.

Gov. Pritzker’s administration has raised the idea of a 20% income tax hike on everyone in Illinois to generate $4 billion for state coffers. This is on top of income taxe hikes in 2011 and 2017, before Gov. Pritzker signed into law $4.6 billion in taxes and fees in 2019 including; a doubling of the gasoline tax, a 50% vehicle registration fee increase, internet sales tax hike, and many others.
