Highlights the 335,000 Coloradans Facing Cancelled Policies and Soaring Premiums

DENVER – At a press conference on the steps of the state capitol Americans for Prosperity – Colorado released a new TV ad holding Senator Mark Udall accountable for his vote for ObamaCare. The ad builds on AFP’s ongoing grassroots efforts to put pressure on Senator Udall to listen to the Coloradans whose plans have been cancelled and whose premiums are soaring because of the law.

“It’s time for Senator Udall to start listening to the Coloradans whose lives have been harmed by ObamaCare,” explained Dustin Zvonek, Colorado State Director of Americans for Prosperity. “While Senator Udall says ‘I would do it again’ when called to account for his vote, hundreds of thousands of his constituents have received cancellation letters, many of whom are now facing more expensive monthly premiums and higher deductibles. With each passing month more problems are discovered and more people suffer as a result of this law. It’s time for Senator Udall to step out of the Washington beltway long enough to listen to the people he was elected to represent and reconsider his support for this disastrous policy.”

The ad quotes Senator Udall saying that he would vote for ObamaCare again, juxtaposed against the 335,000 health insurance cancellations in Colorado alone.

Americans for Prosperity’s new ad was released at a press conference this morning on the West Steps of the Capitol building. Speakers included AFP-CO State Director Dustin Zvonek, Senate Minority Leader Bill Cadman, AFP President Tim Phillips, and Carol Perry, a Coloradan whose health insurance plan was cancelled.
