Americans for Prosperity TV Buy Draws Attention to Families Losing Health Insurance
ARLINGTON – Americans for Prosperity is continuing to pressure Congressman Nick Rahall for his support for ObamaCare. Today the nation’s leading grassroots opponent of the new health care law released a 2nd ad highlighting the harm ObamaCare is causing to families and urging viewers to contact Rahall. This is part of AFP’s nationwide effort to hold Congress accountable for the law and keep up public pressure.
The new ad, titled “Mailbox,” uses powerful imagery to portray the anxiety and disappointment felt by millions of Americans who have had their insurance plan cancelled due to the Affordable Care Act.
“As long as Rep. Nick Rahall and other supporters of ObamaCare continue to ignore the plight of the American people, we will continue to air ads like this reminding them of the consequences of their vote,” explained Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity. “The legacy of ObamaCare is cancelled plans, soaring premiums, and lost access to doctors. We will continue to hold Rep. Rahall and all supporters of the law accountable for their actions.”
This ad is the second AFP has released in West Virginia’s 3rd district holding Congressman Rahall accountable for his votes for ObamaCare. The first ad highlighted President Obama’s “Lie of the Year” (as reported by Politifact): “if you like your health care plan, you can keep it.”
