Americans for Prosperity South Carolina is committed to giving everyone a shot at the American Dream. That’s why we advocate for parents to have more and better choices as it relates to their children’s education. A child’s destiny should not be determined by their zip code, and if a family lives in a failing school district, they should not be forced to send their kids to a subpar school. We also firmly advocate that more local input is necessary when it comes to curriculum and administrative planning. Federal government interference, particularly the new Common Core standards, will hurt, not help South Carolina children.
