COLUMBUS – Americans for Prosperity – Ohio is responding to comments about the organization made by long-serving Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman last night on MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes.

“During last night’s segment, Mayor Coleman referred to us out-of-towners who should stay out of Columbus.  These statements are untrue and uncalled for,” said Eli Miller, Americans for Prosperity Ohio State Director.  “If last night’s election results reveal anything, it is that Mayor Coleman is out of touch with his constituents.  That should be what concerns him more than our efforts to educate residents on a proposed permanent tax hike.”

According to his biography, Mayor Coleman is the longest-serving mayor in Columbus history.

“Mayor Coleman is welcome at any of our Ohio offices but I would suggest he visit the Columbus office first so that we can debate and discuss how lower taxes and smaller government could lead to increased economic prosperity for the people he has been elected to serve.”
