Dear Representatives:
On behalf of more than two million Americans for Prosperity activists in all 50 states, I write to urge you to vote YES on legislation that would repeal the President’s health care law in its entirety (H.R. 596).
We urge you to vote YES on H.R. 596, which would repeal the President’s health care law. Americans for Prosperity will include this vote in our congressional scorecard.
Over the last year and a half Americans have seen first-hand that this law has failed to live up to the lofty promises that the President and politicians made years ago. Since implementation began in fall of 2013, over 6 million health care policies have been cancelled despite President pledging that, “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan.” The President promised that his plan would lower premium by $2500 but in reality millions of Americans have seen their premiums skyrocket.
The passage of the President’s Health Care law epitomized Washington at its worst. As a result millions of Americans across the country are hurting. Employers are being forced to cut workers hours, so that they don’t have to comply with the laws costly mandates. Taxes are now levied against lifesaving medical devices, making the U.S. the only country to do so. Furthermore, the law adds to the deficit, and leaves millions uninsured. The American people deserve better than the broken promises they have been dealt.
We urge you to vote YES on H.R. 596 that would repeal the President’s health care law. Americans for Prosperity will include this vote in our congressional scorecard.
