ATLANTA — Americans for Prosperity-Georgia, the state’s premier grassroots organization for promoting economic and healthcare freedom, hosted a tele-townhall offered to over 5,000 constituents of Senator Tim Golden (SD-8) in Valdosta earlier today. The call was moderated by AFP-Georgia Grassroots Coordinator Joel Aaron Foster and AFP National Policy Director Mac Zimmerman.
Sen. Golden’s constituents were encouraged to call into his office and urge support for House Bill 707, the Georgia ACA Noncompliance Act.
Foster said the following:
“Americans for Prosperity activists in Sen. Golden’s district are calling in to the office in support of good legislation that pushes back against ObamaCare’s disastrous impact in Georgia. Sen. Golden is a key player as the chairman of the Senate Labor and Insurance Committee, which is scheduled to hear HB 707 tomorrow morning. The vote of that committee will determine the fate of this bill in 2014. This is some of the strongest state-based legislation pushing back on ObamaCare. Sen. Golden’s constituents who are members of Americans for Prosperity urge him to bring the bill up for a vote and vote in favor of the legislation.”
