A Huge Crowd Turned Out in Harrisburg to Fight for Paycheck Protection
HARRISBURG — This past Wednesday Americans for Prosperity- PA hosted a rally at the state capitol building to show support for paycheck protection legislation. Over 300 energized and concerned Pennsylvanians attended the event which featured various speakers.
Spokesperson Chris Neefus and Policy Director Anna McCauslin are both available for comment on the topic in the coming weeks.
Attendees of the rally got to see speakers like Michelle Malkin, AFP- PA State Director Jennifer Stefano, AFP COO Luke Hilgemann, Sen. John Eichelberger and State Rep. Scott Wagner. The podium served as a launching pad for speakers to take aim at the unfair, special treatment of public sector unions. The two paycheck protection bills, House Bill 1507 and Senate Bill 1034, are now waiting for votes.
CBS21 has been covering the issue for a while now, and the latest rally has brought even more attention to the issue at hand. This is no longer an issue that can be ignored by the media. The organization’s members are emailing their legislators to urge them to support these bills. AFP is leading the fight to restore fairness in Pennsylvania and the rally this past Wednesday is just one of the many stepping stones to passage of paycheck protection legislation.
