The Problem
HOOSIER FAMILIES ARE BEING SQUEEZED
Every year, Indiana families are asked to dig deeper into their pockets. Grocery bills are up. Insurance is up. Gas, utilities, and rent are up. And now, more school districts than ever are asking homeowners to approve yet another property tax increase through local referendums.
AFP-Indiana understands schools have real needs. But Hoosier families have real limits too and for many, especially retirees on fixed incomes, young families, and small business owners, another tax hike isn't a minor inconvenience. It's the difference between staying in the home they've worked for and being taxed out of it.
This isn't a fight we can win with a press release. It's a fight we win door by door, neighbor by neighbor — and that's exactly what we're building.
