Hagan Misses the Party – and the Point

Today, we sent President Obama a strong message. North Carolina does not support ObamaCare!

Over 80 Americans for Prosperity activists rallied at NC State University today in the latest show of grassroots opposition to ObamaCare. The President’s visit to the state will serve as a reminder to him that ObamaCare is not the universally supported health care fix he thinks it is.

And Kay Hagan would do well to listen, too. The only thing is, she didn’t even bother to show up today. Instead of standing by the President during his trip, she chose instead to avoid him and stay in DC.

It’s funny how she stands with Obama on health care but won’t stand with him in person.

The rally today occurred in conjunction with a new web ad, “Best Friends ,” which highlights Senator Hagan’s clear support for the healthcare law which the President barely mentioned during his speech.

As reported today on the front page of the New York Times, the rally and ad builds on AFP’s non-stop barrage of television ads in NC and across the nation: “Since September, Americans for Prosperity…has spent an estimated $20 million on television advertising that calls out House and Senate Democrats by name for their support of the Affordable Care Act.”

Today’s rally was a reminder that conservative activists are still willing to fight for freedom in North Carolina! We at Americans for Prosperity want to thank all our activists – past, present, and future – for their continued work to help us fight for economic freedom.
