Grassroots Group Praises Senate Education Committee for Passing Education Savings Accounts bill

Feb 3, 2021 by AFP

Tallahassee, FL – Americans for Prosperity-Florida (AFP-FL) today praised the Senate Education Committee for passing SB 48, a bill that expands educational freedom and streamlines the state’s scholarship programs for Florida students and families.

AFP-FL State Director Skylar Zander issued the following statement:

“Lawmakers moved us a step closer to giving Florida students the tools and resources they need to unleash their potential. Florida students and families have been entrepreneurial in establishing new education methods with learning pods, microschools, and more that accommodate for the learning disruptions from the pandemic. This bill will continue to enable families to bring bottom-up solutions and create an experience that works better for students.

“We commend the Senate Education Committee for making innovations our state has already been offering for thousands of families and students even more effective. Lawmakers need to see this bill over the finish line and help ensure our students can access an educational environment that works for them.”
