For more than two hundred years, this simple proposition of "freedom and opportunity for ordinary people" has brought people from around the world to this land.

Each of these individuals pursued their dreams for themselves and their families. They created products and services that improved the lives of their fellow Americans and, in the process, they built the greatest nation in the history of the world.

It’s deeply troubling that a rapidly growing number of Americans are increasingly willing to throw away the freedoms and system that have given so many generations so much opportunity and prosperity.

Instead, they are willing to put a highly-bureaucratic government in control of the economy and effectively their lives. They are headed in this direction because, as the government has grown, it has increasingly been manipulated so that the well-connected thrive while everyone else falls behind.

I believe that in free societies, people get ahead by helping others improve their lives—by producing something of value to them and through mutually beneficial relationships.

By joining together, we can create a movement that holds those in Washington to the same principles of freedom and opportunity that our Founding Fathers envisioned.
