Fiscal Committee Denies Educational Opportunity for Students and Families

Dec 13, 2019 by AFP

CONCORD, NH – Following the Joint Revenue Fiscal Committee’s decision to reject the $46 million federal grant to charter schools, Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) today issued the following statement:

“Denying educational opportunity to our students and families is the wrong move for our state. This grant would have enabled more families to select the best school for their children, allowing them to discover, develop, and apply their unique talents,” said Greg Moore, AFP-NH State Director. “It’s unfortunate the committee chose to stay with the one-size fits all status quo, but we will remain committed to ensuring every child has access to a quality education that works for them.”
