Little Rock, AR—Recently, Americans for Prosperity Foundation-Arkansas (AFPF-AR) welcomed more than 50 attendees to a summit entitled, “Faith and Liberty.” The gathering’s purpose was to equip local pastors and faith leaders with knowledge about their rights to educate their congregations on policy matters that affect them.
With focus on free speech and educational freedom, AFPF-AR was glad to partner with key collaborators to motivate members of the faith community to engage in public policy.
AFPF-AR State Director Ryan Norris released the following statement:
“Members of Arkansas’ faith community should feel empowered to engage in public policy and we hope after this inaugural summit, more leaders feel compelled to start civic groups in their communities and activate participation in federal and state affairs.
“In order to advance transformational policies that make Arkansas a better place to live and work, we need everyone to believe their voice is an important part in driving positive change. We’re encouraged by the outcome of the Faith and Liberty Summit and look forward to working with folks in all parts of the state in our next legislative session.”
