Little Rock, AR—Today, Americans for Prosperity-Arkansas (AFP-AR) released seven new endorsements to serve in key House seats across Arkansas. AFP-AR will utilize its vast grassroots base to educate voters on the candidates’ policy positions by door knocking, digital awareness, and mail campaigns.
AFP-AR State Director, Ryan Norris, released the following statement:

We have worked alongside many of these leaders and trust they are policy champions who seek to make our state an even better place to live, work, and raise a family. By standing behind these key candidates, AFP-AR’s grassroots base is helping ensure the future of every Arkansan is full of freedom and opportunity to reach their fullest potential.”
Endorsed Candidates
State Rep. DeAnna Hodges (HD-09)
In her first term, Rep. Hodges has already proven to be a key policy partner for AFP-AR, working to lower the state income tax and advance meaningful education reforms, including the implementation of literacy coaches and funding for tutoring children in need of literacy support. Upon re-election, Rep. Hodges will continue to champion important issues for her community, focusing on economic growth, employment opportunities, and health care reforms.
State Rep. Mindy McAlindon (HD-10)
Rep. McAlindon, a rising leader in the legislature, has been a valuable partner in expanding educational opportunities for Arkansas learners as a co-sponsor of the LEARNS Act, the largest investment in education in Arkansas’s history. Additionally, she has been a strong advocate on economic issues, promoting reducing unnecessary regulations and lower taxes.
State Rep. Scott Richardson (HD-13)
Rep. Richardson takes principled stands on policy, consistently supporting key education reforms such as the LEARNS Act. Additionally, he is a reliable policy partner in driving economic and fiscal reform, including advocating for tax cuts and the elimination of income tax.
State Rep. Mark McElroy (HD-62)
Rep. McElroy prioritizes the economic and education needs of rural areas along the Delta. Rep. McElroy focuses on advancing economic progress, addressing government efficiency and accountability in the state through his role on the House State Agencies and Government Affairs Commitee. When re-elected, Rep. McElroy will continue his commitment to fiscal responsibility and pursue additional reforms to improve education outcomes, with a strong focus on supporting rural communities.
State Rep. Karilyn Brown (HD-67)
Rep. Brown is a dedicated public servant with a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for Arkansans. As a mother and a member of a military family, she understands the unique challenges faced by her community and has been working tirelessly to address them. Additionally, Rep. Brown supports reforms to make it easier to gain employment and that supports small business.
State Rep. Carlton Wing (HD-70)
A crucial partner in establishing an education coalition in the state, Rep. Wing has been a champion using his role on the Education Committee to support universal education savings accounts. Rep. Wing has consistently supported major tax reform including lowering income, business, and sales taxes.
State Rep. Keith Brooks (HD-78)
Rep. Brooks, the primary sponsor of the LEARNS Act, has played a crucial role in advancing significant education reforms. His leadership was instrumental in implementing education savings accounts, planning for expanded pre-K programs, investing in literacy initiatives, creating a grant program to modernize student transportation, and increasing teacher pay. Rep. Brooks’ leadership is essential in addressing fiscal and economic challenges. Arkansas needs his principled leadership to cut taxes, reduce burdensome regulations, and enhance job opportunities.
Background
In March, AFP-AR congratulated Senator David Wallace (AR-19) on his re-election victory. The grassroots group put up strategic efforts to support Sen. Wallace as an endorsed candidate.
