AFP-NC Congratulates Endorsed Candidates on Winning Their Races

Raleigh, North Carolina—Tonight, Americans for Prosperity-North Carolina (AFP-NC) congratulated its endorsed candidates on winning their elections.

State Senators Bobby Hanig (SD-01), Buck Newton (SD-04), Michael Lee (SD-07), Danny Britt (SD-24), and Paul Newton (SD-34) all won reelection.  Dana Caudill Jones (SD-31) won her first term to serve in the North Carolina State Senate in the next session.

State Representatives Allen Chesser (HD-25), Erin Pare (HD-37), Jarrod Lowery (HD-47), Alan Branson (HD-59), Dennis Riddell (HD-64), Jeff Zenger (HD-74), and Tricia Cotham (HD-105) won reelection to the North Carolina House of Representatives. They will be joined by nonincumbents Mike Schietzelt (HD-35) and Cody Honeycutt (HD-67).

AFP-NC also endorsed Ashlee Adams for the 18th Senate District. While she is leading, this race is as of yet, too close to call.

AFP-NC State Director Tyler Voigt issued the following statement after the races were called:

“Thanks to AFP-NC’s hardworking staff and volunteers, the Old North State has the policy majority it needs to build on the tremendous momentum we’ve seen over the last session. This team has knocked on over 100,000 doors to ensure we have the right leaders in Raleigh. With these policy champions looking out for North Carolinians, we’re ready to get to work expanding education freedom, repealing outdated health regulations that reduce access to healthcare in rural communities, and ensuring that North Carolina remains competitive and attractive to businesses and families.”
