Topeka, KS—Today, Americans for Prosperity-Kansas (AFP-KS) announced that Tanner Tempel will take on the role of Deputy State Director for the chapter’s permanent grassroots operations. Tempel’s announcement comes after Jon Lueth’s new opportunity within AFP.
Tempel joins AFP-KS State Director Elizabeth Patton in leading Americans for Prosperity’s Kansas chapter.
Most recently, the Garden City native served as the Senior Strategic Opportunities Coordinator for Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) where he focused on driving strategic initiatives for one of the nation’s largest dairy cooperatives. Before his time at DFA, Tempel was an Origination Merchant at Cargill, specializing in commodity trading and market hedging.
In addition, he previously served as Legislative Assistant to Congressman Ron Estes (KS-04), advising on key policy areas including agriculture, energy, trade, immigration, and natural resources.
AFP-KS State Director, Liz Patton, made the following statement:
“We are thrilled to have Tanner join our team and know with his vast knowledge of the state and legislature we can achieve great things for Kansas this year. Tanner will help grow AFP’s footprint in the Sunflower State and champion policies that put Kansans first. I’m thankful to have worked alongside Jon and congratulate him on his new endeavors at AFP!”
