Ed FitzGerald Should Focus on the Job He Has

COLUMBUS – Americans for Prosperity – Ohio issued the following statement in response to comments made by Cuyahoga County executive and Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ed FitzGerald in today’s Toledo Blade.  According to the article, FitzGerald is urging Governor John Kasich to veto SB 310, which would freeze Ohio’s renewable energy standards for two years, if it reaches his desk.

“Perhaps Ed FitzGerald should think about using a line-item veto on some of the duplicate spending that goes on in Cuyahoga County where he is elected to serve as a County executive rather than worrying about what Governor Kasich will do with a piece of legislation aimed at applying prudence and common sense to the state’s energy mandates,” said Eli Miller, Americans for Prosperity Ohio State Director.  “Ed FitzGerald should stick to the job he has and serve the people of Cuyahoga County.”
