AN OPEN LETTER TO POLITICIANS IN WASHINGTON:

STOP OVERSPENDING MY MONEY!

Economically, America is in BIG trouble, and neither party shoulders all of the blame. Due to decades of overspending on both sides of the aisle, our national debt clock is $22 trillion...and counting!

To put that number in perspective, today you and every other American citizen would have to pay a staggering $66,890 to wipe out this debt. In fact, if you stacked the totality of the national debt in one-dollar bills, it would travel the 477,800-mile round trip from the Earth to the Moon SIX times!

Unless we start holding our lawmakers truly accountable the problem will only worsen.

As you read this, many leaders of Congress are pushing for 70-90% tax hikes and a $32 trillion “Medicare for All” expansion, hiking government spending to new heights.

They just don’t seem to get it. They think that spending our way out of debt is the solution, but we both know that will only exacerbate the problem.

Each year, the U.S. government gives away over $100 billion in corporate welfare. Meanwhile, family-owned small businesses are being crushed under the weight of over 170,000 pages of regulations which would require a massive corporate legal staff to comply with!

As wealthy corporations feed at the taxpayer through, absent of Congressional action, hardworking everyday Americans like you are on a path to LOSE the benefits of the individual tax cuts signed into law by President Trump by the end of 2025.

This isn’t right – and we bet you don’t think so either. Will you check any of the statements you agree from the petition statements below? Your answers will be added alongside those of thousands of other concerned Americans and shared directly with elected officials on BOTH sides of the aisle to demand that they stop overspending our money!

I believe our government has an overspending problem that must be reigned in for the sake of future generations.

I believe that government handouts to mega-corporations unfairly tips the advantage towards the wealthiest corporations and people. This essentially kills the American Dream and unnecessarily contributes to our growing national debt.

I believe that the government’s many regulations make creating, growing, and maintaining a business too expensive for entrepreneurs — unfairly benefitting the largest and wealthiest companies in America.

I believe that the individual tax cuts signed into law by President Trump should be made permanent. In addition, continuing to lower taxes should be a top priority for lawmakers in Washington.

I believe that the government should stop borrowing money, stop overspending, and work towards a balanced budget immediately!

I believe that I – not the government – should be responsible for how my money is spent, and that my hard-earned dollars shouldn’t be heavily taxed and given to politically-favored companies.
