Senate Bill 15 would improve the administrative rule making process and protect small businesses from burdensome regulation while increasing transparency in the regulatory process.

MADISON – Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin is commending Senator Duey Stroebel for recommending the passage of Senate Bill 15, also known as the REINS Act. The REINS Act would reform the administrative rule making process, help prevent overregulation on small businesses, and provide more transparency to the public on the regulatory process.

“We commend Senator Stroebel for urging the passage of a bill that would bring greater accountability to our state government. With the REINS Act, Wisconsin will have an opportunity to provide citizens with more transparency and greater input in the development and implementation of regulations in Wisconsin.

“AFP strongly supports a key concept of this legislation – that citizens deserve to have a voice through their elected officials on regulations that threaten to significantly impact their lives or that could put their jobs or businesses in jeopardy. We thank Senator Stroebel for his leadership on this important issue and urge legislators in Wisconsin to join him in supporting the REINS Act.”

Americans for Prosperity recently released an ad urging legislators to support the REINS Act which you can view here.
