NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Americans for Prosperity-Tennessee (AFP-TN), the leading free market grassroots organization fighting for lower taxes and limited government in Tennessee, named state Rep. John Crawford a “Taxpayer Advocate.”
“Rep. Crawford has been a steady advocate for taxpayers since taking office in 2016, said AFP-TN State Director Tori Venable. “He has stood up for taxpayers frequently, most notably in the fight against the gas tax hike, and our activists in upper-east Tennessee appreciate his dedication.”
The Taxpayer Advocate award is given to lawmakers who have distinguished themselves through a consistent voting record supporting economic freedom and fiscal responsibility.
“It is an honor for me to receive this prestigious award for supporting conservative principles,” said Rep. Crawford. “I pledge that I will continue to back commonsense initiatives throughout the 2018 legislative session so that we can continue Tennessee’s economic momentum and make our state an attractive destination for businesses and for families.”
