Americans for Prosperity Direct Mail Effort Thanks Durkin for Defending Taxpayers

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Americans for Prosperity-Illinois (AFP-IL) on Monday announced a direct mail campaign to urge citizens of the 82nd District to contact state Representative Jim Durkin to reinforce his ardent and continued advocacy for beleaguered Illinois taxpayers. AFP-IL has consistently advocated for policies like a meaningful property tax freeze to provide much needed relief to hardworking Illinois taxpayers, and asks Rep. Durkin to continue fighting for these important measures.

AFP-IL State Director Andrew Nelms issued the following statement:

“Bad public policy has led to increased tax burdens on Illinoisans, draining family budgets and driving folks out of the state at a greater clip than anywhere else in the country. Fortunately some lawmakers have been consistent champions of taxpayers. Rep. Durkin has been a true defender of Illinois taxpayers, having voted repeatedly for a permanent property tax freeze and against tax hikes.

“The mail pieces call on citizens of the 82nd District to contact Rep. Durkin and urge him to continue fighting for taxpayers on these key issues.”
