Grassroots group outlines legislative priorities, pledges to address state’s toughest challenges

LINCOLN, NE – As Nebraska’s 106th legislative session begins, Americans for Prosperity-Nebraska (AFP-NE) welcomes legislators back to Lincoln and looks forward to working with senators to tackle the state’s toughest issues this session.

“Nebraska faces a challenging road ahead, but we are ready to help advance policies that will help all Nebraskans improve their lives. Controlling government spending and addressing our state’s property tax burden are issues that legislators cannot continue operating as if it is business as usual,” said Jessica Shelburn, AFP-NE State Director. “Legislators also need to work on patient-centered health care reforms for Nebraskans that will reduce the dependence on Medicaid expansion and provide greater access, quality, and affordability.”

“Through grassroots outreach, AFP-NE will encourage lawmakers to work together to make Nebraska the best state to live, work, and raise a family. We look forward to engaging in meaningful debate with senators on these issues and help drive long-term solutions to our state’s toughest challenges.”
