HB36 & SB80 ensure the freedom of the press that protects journalistic pursuits extends to student journalists as well. APF-VA is proud to support both this legislative session.

“Protecting student journalists from censorship enables them to freely seek out and report on stories and, in doing so, enrich discourses within their schools and universities. HB36 & SB80 allows students to exercise their speech rights and refine their skills in an open educational environment.”
