Official projections now show the state will be facing a $2.4 billion (at least) Covid-19/shutdown-induced budget deficit. Former Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch will join us to share some tough lessons learned and advice for today’s leaders from the last time we faced a budget challenge like this.

Then in the second half of the show, we’re excited to welcome Grover Norquist, founder of Americans for Tax Reform, to talk about safely getting the economy going, why we should reject bailouts (really, Illinois?), and how to use tax reform and deregulation to combat the economic fallout of this pandemic response.
