Charleston – No sooner had Americans for Prosperity launched its newest chapter in West Virginia than it announced a hard-hitting, major TV ad buy holding Rep. Nick Rahall accountable for supporting ObamaCare and urging him to change his position. The nation’s leading grassroots advocate for broad-based prosperity, economic freedom, and limited government, launched the West Virginia chapter with high profile events in Charleston and Beckley.
“West Virginians are tired of business-as-usual policymaking in Charleston and Washington, DC resulting in diminished healthcare freedom, higher health insurance premiums, higher taxes, and higher unemployment,” said Wendy McCuskey, West Virginia state director of Americans for Prosperity. “Rep. Nick Rahall should warn his colleagues to be on watch: recklessly expanding government spending and regulation will no longer be ignored.”
Speakers at the events included AFP National President Tim Phillips, local business owner Duane Zobrist, Senator Bill Cole (District 6), and AFP-WV state director Wendy McCuskey. The events were held at the Raleigh Beckley Convention Center in Beckley and the Charleston Marriot.
