“more concerned about pleasing elitist special interests than fighting for the jobs”

DES MOINES – Americans for Prosperity – Iowa has released a hard-hitting new ad holding Congressman Bruce Braley accountable for his votes and statements opposing the Keystone pipeline and mocking farmers. The ad highlights Rep. Braley’s flip-flopping on the Keystone pipeline and shows video of a fundraising speech in which he expresses concern about a “farmer from Iowa, who never went to law school, serving as the next chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.”

“Bruce Braley seems to be more concerned about pleasing elitist special interests than fighting for jobs,” explained Mark Lucas, Iowa State Director of Americans for Prosperity. “While the Keystone pipeline would create jobs, Representative Braley decided to vote against it after initially supporting the project. His true colors seem to lie with radical supporters who look down their noses at the hard working farmers of Iowa. We hope Rep. Braley will change his tune, apologize to Iowa’s farmers, and vote for policies like the Keystone pipeline that create jobs and improve the economic well-being of our state and nation.”
