Harrisburg, PA — Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania is offering the following comments on today’s vote to report HB 1154 out of committee in the Pennsylvania Senate.

“We stand in solidarity with all the Committee members today who voted to take a stand against allowing unions to stalk, threaten and otherwise harass individuals in Pennsylvania,” said Jennifer Stefano, State Director of Americans for Prosperity Pennsylvania.  “For too long, fostering fear and intimidation have been legal in our Commonwealth.  We are pleased to see such positive strides being taken to end this period in Pennsylvania”

House Bill 1154, sponsored by Representative Ron Miller (R-York) would remove current exemptions allowing union members to harass, stalk and threaten the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction during a labor dispute.

Spotlight was recently drawn on the issue due to the indictment of 10 members of the Philadelphia Ironworkers Local 401 who are accused of burning down a Quaker meeting house in 2012.
