Americans for Prosperity Celebrates Teledentistry Expansion in Virginia

Richmond, Va. – Americans for Prosperity-Virginia issued the following statement after Governor Northam signed into law HB 165, a bill originally sponsored by Delegate Patrick Hope, defining and expanding Teledentistry in Virginia.

“The signing of HB 165 by Governor Northam today marks a breakthrough for teledentistry in the Commonwealth of Virginia,” said AFP-VA State Director JC Hernandez.This benchmark legislation expands access to health care for Virginians, removes barriers for practitioners and builds momentum for future progress in the development of Telemedicine. Our grassroots leaders invested significant time, energy and resources to securing this victory for our state and I’m proud to stand alongside them and congratulate them in this effort. We’re grateful to the Governor, Delegate Hope and members of the legislature who helped make this effort so successful and we look forward to advancing the progress in this field.”
