AFP-WV, Voters Call on Newly Elected Lawmakers to Double Down on Freedom

Nov 6, 2018 by AFP

Charleston, W.Va.—Americans for Prosperity-West Virginia (AFP-WV) tonight released a statement expressing its forward-thinking vision in working alongside the Mountain State’s newly elected legislators.  As these legislator-elects prepare to take office, AFP-WV looks forward to creating long-lasting partnerships to continue to break down barriers to opportunity for all West Virginians.

AFP-WV State Director Jason Huffman issued the following statement:

“West Virginia has turned a corner and voters have taken notice as lawmakers have made important strides to break down barriers to opportunity. Tonight’s results encourage elected officials of all parties to swiftly double down on policies that enhance freedom, continue to remove barriers that hold Mountaineers back, and ensure all West Virginians are empowered to fulfill their potential. Our activists look forward to working with lawmakers to achieve the Mountain State’s pathway to prosperity.”

Regarding the US Senate Race, Huffman continued, “West Virginians have chosen to give Senator Manchin a second chance to truly represent their principles on policy. As always, we will work with Senator Manchin on issues in which we agree and continue to hold him accountable when he does not live up to those expectations.”
