AFP-WI Activists Cite as Proof Tax Cuts and Pro-Growth Reforms are Working

MADISON, WI – Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin pointed to record-low unemployment numbers published today as proof that recent tax cuts and pro-growth reforms are working in the Badger State. Data released by the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) today shows 61 percent of all Wisconsin counties, and half of state’s 32 largest municipalities, reached all-time low unemployment rates in the month of April.

“The jury is officially in,” said AFP-Wisconsin State Director Eric Bott. “More Wisconsinites are working because the tax cuts and pro-growth reforms enacted by Governor Walker and the legislature are working. With record low unemployment in the majority of our counties, Wisconsin is on the right path heading towards prosperity. The last thing we need are wobbly legislators taking us off course and embracing higher taxes this session.”
