AFP-Wisconsin to Brave Senators: Keep on Trucking!

Jun 30, 2017 by AFP

MADISON, WI – Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin today thanked five Senators for publicly opposing a proposal to assess a per-mile fee on heavy trucks in Wisconsin in the new state budget.

AFP-Wisconsin State Director Eric Bott made the following statement:

“Senators Nass, Craig, Lasee, Kapenga and Stroebel are to be commended for their leadership in opposing the outrageous Ton Per Mile Tax. These brave Senators have taken a stand against special interests to stand up for Wisconsin’s small trucking businesses. They understand that this scheme will force truckers, manufacturers, and retailers to pass these new costs onto their customers and will make it tough for small truckers to operate in Wisconsin. AFP-WI is proud of them and we won’t stop until this bill is road kill.”
