AFP-WI Praises Executive and Legislative Leadership for Uniting in Response to COVID-19

MADISON, WI—Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin (AFP-WI) today issued a statement praising Wisconsin legislative leaders and Governor Evers for uniting to tackle public health and economic challenges from the novel coronavirus. While other states shut down businesses—adding additional economic burdens on businesses, families, and individuals alike—Wisconsin leaders have joined forces to instead focus their efforts on innovation.

AFP-WI State Director Eric Bott issued the following statement:

“We applaud Governor Evers and our lawmakers for uniting to protect Wisconsinites by rejecting a blanket shutdown of our state’s businesses, allowing people to continue to access the products and services they need. While this unprecedented public health crisis presents many unknowns, we should continue to allow businesses to adapt and innovate without jeopardizing the safety of our neighbors and communities”
